Known for its wine, cuisine, antiques and markets, Bordeaux is a wonderfully vibrant city and an ideal location in which to learn French! Full of exquisite architecture that has remained unchanged for over two centuries, Bordeaux has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site Status. It is also home to many museums and art galleries. All this make it a fantastic destination for those interested in French culture and history! It is also home to the longest shopping street in Europe, as well as more than 20 markets and is therefore a shopper’s paradise! As well as all this, the people of Bordeaux are known for being friendly and welcoming, and this is never more evident than during one of the city’s many fairs and festivals!
Our French language school in Bordeaux is located in the heart of the city, just off Place Gambetta, in a beautiful 19th Century building. There is free wireless Internet access throughout, as well as a self-study room and a student lounge which opens out onto a pretty garden. The classrooms are bright and air-conditioned, providing students with the perfect environment in which to learn French!

The best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it and the host family accommodation offered by our school in Bordeaux allows you to do just that! Your hosts will welcome you into their home and will encourage you to speak French as often as possible, allowing you plenty of opportunity to practice what you have learnt in class! This accommodation is offered on a half board basis.
Cultural Activities

Taking part in our school’s extensive cultural activities programmes means that you will have a fantastic time in Bordeaux! Activities are arranged to help you learn about French culture and to explore Bordeaux and the surrounding area! They also provide you with even more opportunity to practice your French outside of the classroom! Examples of activities arranged include cheese and wine tasting, guided tours of Bordeaux and its historical monuments, guided tours of the city’s museums and cookery lessons. Excursions to other local places of interest, such as St Emilion and its vineyards, Arcachon Basin and the Dune of Pilat, are also arranged on a regular basis.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are included for students staying in host family accommodation. All other students should take public transport to their accommodation.
