If you are interested in learning Chinese, then the capital city of Beijing (Peking) is an ideal place to start! Beijing offers our students a perfect combination of familiar comforts and extraordinary sights and experiences. From the magnificent Forbidden City to Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven, you'll find plenty to see and do whilst you study Chinese in Beijing!

Our three Chinese schools in Beijing, all offer quality Chinese courses and accommodation. Our option 2 school is ideally located in one of the most typically Chinese parts of Beijing - right in the gardens of the Forbidden City! Our option 1 school is in the fashionable Haidian District, which has a large student population. The Chaoyang area, with its skyscrapers, shops and lively nightlife, is home to our Option 3 school in Beijing.

Our Beijing Option 2 school

If you choose to study Chinese at our Option 2 school, you'll be learning the language in the gardens of the Forbidden City, one of the world's largest palace complexes, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After class, you can relax with fellow students in tranquil gardens that were forbidden to ordinary Chinese people for over 1000 years! What's more, you'll find the Wangfujing, Beijing's main shopping street just a few minutes' walk away.

Your Chinese course in Beijing

Our popular Standard and Intensive Chinese courses are intensive enough to ensure good progress in the language, whilst giving you enough free time in the afternoons and evenings to really enjoy life in China's capital. Many of our students choose to complement their Chinese course with one of our specialist courses, such as Tai Chi or Chinese Painting - a perfect way to improve your Chinese and really immerse yourself in the culture!

If you want to make your time in Beijing really memorable, then stay in our school's Guest House! The Guest House, once home to an important member of the Emperor's court, has at its heart a beautiful 300 year old teahouse! All rooms in the Guest House have an ensuite bathroom and a lounge area. What's more, the Guest House is located just 10 minutes from our school by metro. Choose from the self catering option, or half board (2 meals/day).

We also offer a range of carefully-selected 4-star hotels, all located within 10 minutes of our school by metro.

Cultural Activities

With so much to do and see both in Beijing and beyond, you may need some help deciding where to start! Our school will be pleased to advise you - just ask one of your teachers or at reception. Don't forget, the school offers a comprehensive optional activities program, with trips to the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall of China!

Academic Year Course

The academic year course is available for 12, 24 or 36 weeks. Students on our 36 week course spend two terms at our school, and one term at Beijing University! Please contact us for details.
