Biarritz lies on the southwest Atlantic coast of France, just a few minutes' drive from the Spanish border. As well as being a stylish and cosmopolitan resort, Biarritz is also famous for its superb surfing conditions. This is a wonderful location for anyone wishing to learn French in France, whether or not you also want to combine a language course with surfing. To complement your French course in Biarritz, we offer professional surfing lessons, suitable for both beginners and experienced surfers. Alternatively, you can simply lie back and relax on the beautiful beaches, enjoying the soothing sound of the sea and the warm climate.

Our school in Biarritz

Our French language school is located in the centre of Biarritz, less than 10 minutes' walk away from the pristine sands of the Grand Plage! The school has spacious classrooms, a computer room, air conditioning and a student lounge where you can meet and socialise with your fellow students.

Accommodation in Biarritz

To learn as much French as possible, stay with a local host family and practice your French with them! You’ll also be able to fully immerse yourself in the local way of life. Families are situated a maximum of 45 minutes away from the school, and provide two meals per day or breakfast only.

Our school’s residence enjoys a superb location, only five minutes away from golden beaches! What’s more, there are tennis courts and a swimming pool on-site! Twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms are available, on a half board (two meals per day) basis.

Shared apartments, complete with a swimming pool and just 30 metres from the beach, are also available.

Activity program in Biarritz

We want you to have a great time as you learn French in Biarritz, so our school organises a varied activity program. A welcome party provides the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow students and make new friends. Then you can enjoy activities such as guided tours, sports and French movie nights. A half-day excursion is also arranged every week, introducing you to places such as the charming town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and historic Bayonne.

How to get to Biarritz

Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne Airport receives flights from Paris-Orly Airport, several UK airports, Amsterdam Schiphol and Geneva. For a supplementary fee, our school can pick you up from the airport or train station.

Summer Course (14-18 years) Biarritz, Option One

If you’re between 14 and 18 years of age, we have a specialised French course just for you! Choose between 15 or 20 French lessons each week, all with experienced, native teachers. After class, you can choose to learn how to surf with professional lessons! Or, join our school’s packed activities program and take part in a variety of sports, parties, workshops and other activities. Explore nearby towns, cities and sights on organised excursions. Meet young people from all over the world, sharing a residence apartment with three or four other students from the school. Or, totally immerse yourself in the French language and culture by staying with a host family!

Summer Course (14-18 years) Biarritz, Option Two

Our Option Two Biarritz school for Young Students is located just a five-minute walk away from the beach! The school offers surfing lessons or other activities to complement your course of 16 French classes per week. Typical activities at this school include trips to Biarritz’s pristine beaches and lessons in French cookery. Living with one of our school’s carefully chosen host families, you’ll sample French life at first hand and get plenty of language practice!
