For the best views of the valley, let a cable car do the climbing for you and head up to the dramatic Aiguille du Midi peak. Chamonix boasts many fine restaurants, where you can practice your language skills by ordering in French. Treat yourself to raclette (a cheese dish), excellent wines and other regional specialities. Or take a short trip across the Italian or Swiss border to experience other great cuisines and cultures!

From our centrally located Chamonix school, you can reach cafés and shops, as well as a sports centre, within minutes. There is a swimming pool at the sports centre, perfect for cooling off during the summer months, or you could soak up the sun on our school’s terrace area. The school also has well-equipped classrooms, a lounge area and Wi-Fi Internet access.

Our school’s Intensive French course in Chamonix consists of 20 French lessons per week, striking a perfect balance between learning and leisure time. You’ll have four lessons each day with highly-qualified, native French teachers, leaving you with plenty of time to explore the spectacular surroundings! You can also learn French in Chamonix with a course of Private Lessons, designed to meet your own specific requirements!

Accommodation in Chamonix

Both shared and private self-catering apartments are available whilst studying at our Chamonix school. Live with your fellow students from the school, allowing you to socialise and practice your French all the time! Or enjoy some more privacy in a private apartment. Either way, you’ll have the convenience of accommodation in the centre of town, close to both our school and ski-lifts!

Helping you to discover this wonderful corner of France and its culture, our school organises a varied activities package. Enjoy activities such as guided walks around Chamonix, cheese and wine tasting sessions, a trip to the Alpine Museum and French cinema evenings. Excursions are also arranged, a further opportunity to get to know your fellow students and improve your French as well! Typical excursions are to the scenic French town of Annecy, a vineyard on Lake Geneva and ski resorts like Verbier in Switzerland and Courmayeur in Italy.

The closest airport to Chamonix is Geneva Airport, where bus and mini-bus services to Chamonix are available, although these are not included with the course.
