Cologne is a regional capital for culture, so you’ll find lots of exhibitions, events and festivals to keep you busy during your German course! Cologne has many small scale festivals throughout the year, but the most famous is the Lent Carnival, which attracts over one million visitors to the city. Called the ‘Mad Three Days’, the city’s bars and restaurants stay open throughout the night, with dancing and parades in the city’s squares and streets!

Accommodation
Sharing a self-catering student apartment with other students from our school can be a lot of fun! You’ll stay in a single room, and share a kitchen and bathroom with other students in the apartment. If you’d prefer to have your meals cooked for you, then stay in one of our carefully-selected host families. The people of Cologne are known for being very open and proud of their city, so don’t hesitate to ask your host family for recommendations or advice on what to see and visit!

Cultural Activities
Like all our schools in Germany, our school in Cologne offers an extensive cultural activities program of sports, parties and weekend trips. Optional weekend excursions include locations such as Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
Business German Courses
If you want to be more confident speaking German on the telephone, holding presentations or negotiating in German, take a look at our 2-week Business German Course. The course consists of 24 German lessons/week, plus 6 lessons of tutor assisted self-study in multi-media centre. Two business related trips in the afternoon are included in the cost of your course. Every August, our school in Cologne offers a 4-week Business German course comprising 24 German lessons/week, plus 6 tutor assisted self-study sessions. The summer course is ideal preparation for the International Business German Examination (PWD).
