Study Spanish in the sun in Conil de la Frontera! Known for its vast stretch of white, sandy beaches, Conil de la Frontera is located on the Costa de Luz in Andalusia. Originally a small fishing village, Conil de la Frontera is a beautiful, traditional white-washed town that now has many bars, restaurants and cafes, yet still retains its original charm.

In addition to this, whilst the town is equipped for tourism, it has not become too over-developed, making it an excellent location in which to experience the ‘real’ Spain! The locals (conileños) are well known for being extremely friendly and welcoming, and will be more than happy to speak Spanish with you whilst you are staying in their wonderful town!

Their typically sunny dispositions may be explained by the fact that this area of Spain benefits from more than 3,200 hours of sunlight each year, and a mild climate all year round! The surrounding area also offers many more beautiful towns and unspoilt beaches, and Conil de la Frontera is an excellent location from which to explore these!

Our school in Conil de la Frontera

Our Spanish language school in Conil de la Frontera is located close to both the city centre and the beach. The school building is typically Andalusian, with a central patio and a roof terrace with sea views. Facilities include a library, study room and language laboratories with TV and video equipment and computers with Internet access. Our school also offers on-site self-catered apartments, ideally located in the same building as the school, right in the centre of town.

Cultural activities

Our school in Conil de la Frontera offers a full activities programme for students. This is offered to provide students with a greater cultural understanding, and to provide students with further opportunity to practice speaking Spanish outside of the classroom. Some activities may be included in the course price, whilst others may incur a small charge payable directly to the school. All activities are optional.

Examples of typical activities arranged by our school in Conil de la Frontera include guided tours of the town, visits to local places of interest such as Vejer de la Frontera and El Palmar (a popular surfing beach), visits to the Roman ruins at Bolonia, tapas tours, whale-watching in Tarifa and a trip to a local bodega (sherry producer) in Jerez.
