Learn Spanish in Cordoba, Argentina!

The beautiful and historic city of Cordoba lies in the heart of Argentina. The country’s second city, Cordoba is a fantastic alternative to Buenos Aires in that it offers just as much history and culture. This is a university city, full of students, making it an incredibly vibrant location. Charming historic buildings, many preserved from the Spanish colonial period, mean that this is a very picturesque city in which to learn Spanish.

In the foothills of the Central Sierras, Cordoba is also a great base for active types who enjoy adventure sports, such as mountain biking, climbing and trekking. There are also plenty of places within the city and its surrounding areas where one can relax, such as one of Cordoba’s serene parks or wandering around one of the city’s many fantastic museums. As well as all this, Cordoba also offers excellent shopping, as well as first-rate restaurants and a wealth of cafes, bars restaurants and buzzing nightclubs.

Our Spanish language school is located in the centre of Cordoba, Argentina, just 5 minutes walking distance from Cordoba’s Main Square. The school has 6 well equipped classrooms, cafeteria, Internet café and large garden with swimming pool.

Our Spanish language courses in Cordoba

The ‘Intensive’ course of 20 group lessons per week and the ‘Super-Intensive’ course of 30 group lessons will work on improving your overall level of Spanish. You will take your lessons in a group with other students of your level (if you already speak some Spanish you will take a level test on arrival) and the teacher will tailor the content appropriately.

The ‘Intensive + Private Lessons’ consists of 20 group lessons plus an additional 5 private lessons per week. In these private lessons you could reinforce that which you have learnt in class, or you could focus on any particular aspect of the language that you feel needs extra work.

An exciting option you may like to consider is adding a course of tango or salsa lessons to your Spanish course. You will have 8 dance lessons per week and will be taught by a professional dance teacher.

Our ‘DELE Exam Preparation’ course will help you to ensure you gain the best result possible by improving your overall level and also providing you with expert tuition on the skills required to pass the exam.

Our ‘Spanish + Volunteer Work’ and ‘Spanish + Work Experience’ programmes are ideal if you want to reinforce what you learn on your Spanish course by putting yourself in a situation where you will have to speak Spanish on an every day basis and in practical situations.

Accommodation in Cordoba

Our school in Cordoba offers two accommodation options. The first, host family accommodation, is always extremely popular as it can really enhance your experience by staying with a carefully selected local family, who will not only welcome you into their home, but will also speak with you in Spanish, to give you as much practice as possible! This type of accommodation can be arranged on a bed and breakfast or half board basis.

If you prefer to prepare your own meals, then student residence accommodation is the better option for you, as you will have access to a fully-equipped shared kitchen.

Cultural activities in Cordoba

During your stay in Cordoba you will have the opportunity to take part in cultural activities organised by our colleagues at the school. Examples of typical activities include dance lessons, traditional meals, film evenings, water sports and visits to local places of interest. All activities are completely optional. Most activities will incur a small additional charge to cover costs. You will be informed on arrival as to what will be offered during your stay.

How to get there

Cordoba is home to the third largest international airport in Argentina, although this is actually mainly served by domestic flights and flights to and from other Latin American countries. Therefore, most students travelling to Cordoba will likely find that they need to fly into Buenos Aires first and then either take a bus to Cordoba (which takes around 10 hours), or a plane (the flight time is around 1 hour). From Cordoba Airport we can arrange an airport transfer, although this is not included in the course price and will incur an additional charge. It is generally less expensive to take public transport from the airport.
