Mix your own perfume, follow in the footsteps of the Impressionists, learn how to cook classic Provençal dishes...all this and more is included in our French and Colours and Flavours of the Riviera Course! This course offers students the complete Provençal experience, exploring the region's art, perfumes, cookery and botanics!

Course

Colours and Flavours of the Riviera

Learn French in the mornings, and in the afternoons, discover the art, perfumes and flavours of Provence! Learn how to capture light and forms like the Impressionists in drawing and painting workshops with a professional artist! In good weather, the workshops take place in the picturesque old town of Antibes. Next, you'll learn how to create a perfume at the famous Gallimard perfumery in Grasse, under the guidance of a professional 'nose'! In a series of botanical workshops, you'll learn about the herbs, plants and essential oils of Provence, and how to apply natural products to your hands and face. After a visit to the market, you'll learn how to create a classic Provençal menu in the Saturday cookery workshop, with our school's friendly cookery teacher Jeannine. Finally, you'll enjoy an evening aperitif and conversation in the home of one of Antibes' oldest families!

Suitability

Whether you're new to Provence, or want to extend your knowledge of the region's art, cuisine and perfumes, this is the right course for you! An intermediate or above level of French is required.
