Italian and Cookery Course in Syracuse, Sicily, Italy
Syracuse, Sicily
Sicilian cuisine is one of the most varied of the world, with Arab, Greek and Spanish influences. On the course, you'll learn how to prepare some typical Sicilian dishes. Expect to find ingredients such as mint, raisons and pine nuts, along with the traditional ingredients of the South such as tomatoes and olive oil. Don't be surprised if you see locals eating ice cream-filled brioche for breakfast! Sicilians believe ice cream was invented on the island, and are happy to eat it at any time of day!
