Sicilian cooking brings a smile to your face! Imagine all the elements of traditional Italian cookery, with a little something extra! Sicily's cuisine is a result of its complex history, and combines traditional Mediterranean ingredients with Arabic, Spanish and Italian flavours. With delicious ingredients such as fresh citrus fruits, mint, chocolate and honey, you just can't go wrong. Remember, Sicilian cuisine is above all about surprise - just when you think it can't get any better, it does!

Italian and Home
Cookery Course

Your teacher will be a real Sicilian 'mamma' or 'papà', and your Italian cookery lessons take place in their home! Three times a week, you'll prepare a full meal, including the first course (pasta, risotto or soup), a second course (vegetarian, meat or fish) and a side dish. You'll also prepare one Sicilian sweet or cake per week. Sicily is known for its variety of sweets, fruit and ice cream - look out for traditional puddings such as Cassata Siciliana!

Suitability

If you want to learn more about 'la cucina casalinga', or traditional home cooking, then try this course! You'll need an elementary level of Italian or above.
