Learning Japanese |
Both the Short Term and Long Term courses consist of 20 Japanese lessons per week, with both courses taught by experienced, native Japanese teachers. The Long Term course lasts for between one and two years, giving you the chance to really discover Japan and its people! The Short Term course, on the other hand, allows you to learn Japanese for just a couple of weeks or for a few months.
Our school in Gifu also offers Private Lessons if you’d prefer one-to-one Japanese sessions. Learn Japanese in Gifu this way and you can dictate the pace of learning!
These same courses are available at both our Tokyo Option 2 and Tokyo Option 3 schools. Our Tokyo Option 1 school offers a different selection of Japanese programs, including a course in Business Japanese.

Accommodation in Gifu
Become part of a Japanese family whilst you take a Japanese course in Gifu! Host families are very carefully selected by our school, ensuring you the most pleasant stay possible. Your hosts will welcome you into their family, introduce you to the local way of life and give you the opportunity to talk Japanese all the time! They will also provide you with breakfast and dinner each day.
To spend more time socialising with other students from our school in Gifu, live in shared student apartments, located close to the school. You’ll have your own en-suite bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and air-conditioning. Laundry facilities are shared between students.

We want to enjoy your time in Japan as much as possible. So our school organises a packed program of activities and excursions to show you the best of this wonderful country!
Firstly, there will be a welcome party to make you feel at home in Gifu – a great chance to get to know your fellow students! There are workshops where you can learn secrets of Japanese cooking or make-up. Visit the exquisite Gifu castle, first built in the 13th century, where rival samurai clans once fought for control of Japan. Other excursions may take you to fascinating Nagoya, monument-laden Kyoto or even one of Japan’s Asian neighbours!

How to get there
If you’re taking a Long Term Japanese course in Gifu, you will be collected from Chubu Airport free of charge. For students enrolled on Short Term courses, a charge applies for this service.
