Come to Guadalajara for a taste of the real Mexico and an excellent Spanish course! There’s so much to see and do in Mexico’s second city! You’ll find beautiful, centuries-old buildings like the cathedral (close to our school), innumerable bars and cafés, and street markets selling everything from jewellery to ceramics. Two of the most popular pastimes here in Guadalajara are ‘charreadas’ (rodeos) and football matches, where you can really experience Mexican passion! Treat yourself to some fine cuisine, for which this city is famous. Regional favourites include ‘tortas ahogadas’ (a spicy sandwich) and ‘pozole’ (an Indian stew dish). Then sample the city’s vibrant nightlife, which offers something for everyone! Guadalajara is also a perfect base for exploring other parts of Mexico. Spectacular step pyramids, tequila plantations and superb, unspoilt beaches are all within easy reach!
