Whatever time of year you choose for your German course in Hamburg, you’re sure to find plenty to see and do. In March, July and November, Hamburg is host to one of Europe’s oldest and largest funfairs, whilst in August you’ll be able to sample the best of the city’s beer at the annual beer festival!

Our German language school is exceptionally well-equipped, with 70 classrooms, plus a specialist bookstore. What’s more, you’ll find a convenient high-standard student residence on site!

Our school offers true flexibility - you can even choose whether to study your Intensive or Combined course in the morning or afternoon! If you can only spare the evenings, take a look at our One-to-One Course, or our Evening Business German Course. With a maximum of 12 students per class (or 10 for the Conversation Course), you'll receive plenty of individual help and attention from our fully-qualified native German teachers!

Accommodation in Hamburg

If you want to stay right in the centre of Hamburg, then choose our on-site residence! The residence is a very popular option with our students - the single or twin rooms have satellite TV and radio. Although there are no kitchen facilities at the residence, there are plenty of reasonably priced cafés and restaurants around the school - perfect for exploring with fellow students! Student residence accommodation is available to all students staying for 4 weeks or longer. Please note that students staying in the residence should arrive and depart on a Friday in order to collect keys. We can arrange extra nights, subject to availability.

For total immersion in the German language, stay with one of our carefully-selected host families. Choose from self-catering (use of the family kitchen), bed and breakfast or half board (2 meals/day).

Cultural Activities

Like our other schools, our German school in Hamburg offers an extensive cultural activities program. For a true taste of Hamburg, join a school excursion to the city's brewery! Other activities include museum visits and an excursion to the local radio station. Optional excursions include day trips to locations such as Lübeck, Bremen, and Sylt.

German for Business Course

This course focuses on written and oral proficiency and is suitable for students wanting to improve their business German. Many of our students choose to sit the internationally recognised 'Zertifikat Deutsch fur den Beruf' exam at the end of the course - exam fees are included.

Conversation Course

If you want to make as much progress as possible in conversational German, then this is the course for you. Please note that this course should be booked in conjunction with a group course or private lessons.

Evening Business German Course

This business German course takes place in the evening, and is perfect for students who want to improve their German language skills whilst working in Hamburg. Please note that this course should be booked in conjunction with a group course or private lessons.
