Job Description

The successful candidate will be working on writing content for our websites, newsletters and press releases. This content will relate to language courses abroad.

They should have excellent writing skills and will be shown how to write copy in such a way as to achieve high website rankings in Google and other search engines, as well as gain experience of various e-marketing initiatives and website publication software.

The successful candidate will be involved in some travel to the locations in Europe in which we offer language courses.

Renumeration

£20k per annum.

Principal Tasks

• Writing content for our websites and newsletters.
• Develop relationships with Journalists and Media to help promote our language courses.
• Continually contribute to the marketing of our products/design of our websites, brochures, posters, flyers and other publicity.
• Occasional travel abroad to visit our schools.

Training

Full training will be given.

No knowledge of websites, or previous experience of Internet marketing is required but any knowledge will be favourable for your application.

Applicants currently employed as a Journalist/Travel Journalist are very welcome to apply.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills.
• A university degree in journalism or related subject, or other Higher Education.
• A high degree of attention to detail.
• A friendly, sociable personality, willing and able to work as part of a team and to establish excellent relationships with work colleagues.
• All applicants should be computer literate, familiar with common software packages, such as Word, Outlook and Excel.

Working Hours:

All company employees normally work a 40-hour week
Monday-Friday 09.30 am – 05.30pm.

Successful applicants may also be required to work up to 2 Saturdays per month (10.00am - 04.00pm). Employees may choose to either be paid overtime for Saturday working, or else take these additional hours worked as time off in lieu. This and any other overtime worked is paid at 'time and a half'

Holidays

All full time employees are entitled to 20 days holiday per year. You will not be required to work bank holidays.
