Learn Spanish in Madrid

Many students choose to learn Spanish in Madrid, simply because it is the capital city of Spain and so seems a logical location in which to study Spanish. However, there are many other reasons for choosing Madrid as the location for your Spanish course. Madrid offers a wonderful mixture of cafes, restaurants, shops, arts, sport, culture, history and nightlife which any other city in the world would find hard to rival. Also, Spanish is spoken here with no regional accent or dialect, making it an excellent choice for anyone who wants to learn Spanish. To top it all, Madrid is situated right in the centre of Spain, making this an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the country.

Our school in Madrid Option 1

Our school in Madrid – Option 1

We have two schools in Madrid. Our Madrid Option 1 school is located in a beautiful building, in a tree-lined avenue, right in the centre of Madrid, just 3 minutes’ walk from the famous ‘Retiro Park’. This is a central, but also very ‘chic’ area of Madrid, with expensive apartments, excellent shops, cafes and restaurants. The school has 23 air-conditioned classrooms, an Internet café, library and student common room/cafeteria.

Our school in Madrid Option 2

Our Madrid Option 2 school is also very centrally located, just a short walk from the ‘Plaza de Espana’. The school is a purpose-built language school, with 35 air-conditioned classrooms, a large Internet cafe, library and student common room/cafeteria.

Your Spanish Course in Madrid

Our two schools offer a wide range of Spanish courses in Madrid:

Spanish course in Madrid

- Semi-Intensive Spanish Course. This is the least intensive of our Spanish courses, consisting of just 10 Spanish lessons/week. There are also 5 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week. The course is ideal for students who do not wish to study too many hours, preferring to have more time to explore Madrid.

- Intensive Spanish Course. This course consists of 20 Spanish lessons/week with a maximum of 9 students per Spanish class There are also 4 or 5 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week . The course is offered at both our schools in Madrid and is the most popular of our Spanish courses, being intensive enough to enable you to learn Spanish quickly, yet also leaving you plenty of free time to explore Madrid.

- Super-Intensive Spanish Course. This course consists of 25 or 30 Spanish lessons/week, with a maximum of 9 students per class. There are also 4 or 5 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week. This course is ideal if you want to learn as much Spanish as possible during your time in Madrid.

- Reduced Group Spanish Course. This course is only offered at our Madrid Option 1 school and consists of 22 Spanish lessons/week, with a maximum of just 5 students per class. Obviously, students learn Spanish more quickly when in a smaller group. There are also 4 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week.

- Intensive Reduced Group Spanish Course. This course is only offered at our Madrid Option 1 school and consists of 32 Spanish lessons/week, with a maximum of just 5 students per class. There are also 4 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week

- DELE Examination Preparation Course. This course consists of 20 Spanish lessons/week, with a maximum of 9 students per class and is designed to enable you to learn the Spanish you need to pass the DELE examination.

Making friends in Madrid

- Business Spanish Course.
This course consists of 20 Spanish lessons/week. The course is ideal for those who wish to learn the Spanish required in order to use the language for business purposes. There are also 5 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week

- Executive Mini-Group Spanish Course.
This course consists of 20 Spanish lessons/week, with a maximum of just 4 students per class. There are also 5 optional ‘Culture’ lessons/week.

- Spanish and Flamenco Course.
This course, offered by our school Madrid Option 2, consists of 20 private Spanish lessons/week, plus 10 Flamenco lessons/week.

- Christmas Spanish Course.
This course consists of 20 Spanish lessons/week, plus Christmas activities, excursions and a cultural program.

- General Spanish and Work Placement.
This program consists of a 4 or 8 week Intensive Spanish course (20 lessons/week), followed by a minimum 8 weeks of work experience.

- Business Spanish and Work Placement.
This 12-week program includes a 4-week Business and Legal Spanish course (20 lessons/week), followed by a minimum 8 weeks of work experience. This work placement is ideal for those who wish to study Business Spanish before starting their work placement.

- Madrid Summer Course for Young Students (6 years – 17 years).
This residential summer course takes place in a private campus on the outskirts of Madrid. The course combines 20 Spanish lessons/week with a full program of organized visits and activities. International students learning Spanish mix with Spanish students, providing lots of opportunities to make friends with Spanish youngsters and practice their Spanish. Cultural Activities

School residence in Madrid

Our Spanish schools in Madrid provide an extensive cultural program, including 4 or 5 ‘Culture’ lessons/week, visits to places of interest within Madrid, ‘tapas’ tours, guided walks and parties at the school. There are also full day excursions to Toledo, Avila, Salamanca and Segovia. This cultural program helps you practice the Spanish that you study at our schools in Madrid, as well as ensuring that you thoroughly enjoy your time in Spain.

How to get to Madrid

Most students attending courses at our Spanish schools in Madrid fly to Madrid. Airport transfers from and to Madrid Airport are available.

Madrid Summer Course for Young Students
(6-9 years / 10-14 / 15-17 years)

Our school in Madrid runs a residential summer course in a private campus on the outskirts of Madrid, with excellent sports facilities. Here students share accommodation with young Spanish students, receive 20 Spanish lessons per week and are provided with a full programme of sports, activities, excursions and visits.
