Munster is a city full of culture, charm…and above all, students!
Learn German in Munster, and you’ll be one of over 55,000 students in the city! Visit the popular Kuhviertel district (Cow district) of the city in the evening, and you’ll see students enjoying the local beer at communal tables in the old pubs and restaurants. There, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere, and simply, tasty food on the menu such steak, dumplings and fresh berries!
In addition to countless museums, concerts and plays, Munster also hosts both traditional and modern festivals throughout the year. The Send Fair is a particular favourite with our students, and its food stalls and rides occupy the square in front of Munster’s beautiful castle in March, June and December.
Learn German at our school in Munster and you’ll be right in the city centre, close to the Prinzipalmarkt, Munster’s beautiful main square. The German in Munster is unaccented, and all of our school’s teachers are fully qualified and experienced native speakers. Inside our school you’ll find bright, spacious classrooms and small learning groups (maximum group size 10 students). After class, you’ll have free Internet access in our school’s well-equipped computer room – great for keeping in touch with your friends and family whilst you’re away!
Our school in Munster offers a wide variety of German courses, to all suit all levels and paces of learning. Our popular Standard Course comprises 20 lessons/week, leaving you plenty of time in the afternoons to enjoy life in Munster’s many parks, museums and cafés. Whether you want to prepare for a special qualification (DaF, Teacher Training) or you just want to improve your level of German, we have the course for you!
For true immersion in the German language and culture, we’d recommend staying in a shared student apartment or with one of our school’s carefully-selected host families. If you choose a shared student apartment, you’ll stay in a single room and share kitchen and bathroom with German students or other students from our school. If you’d prefer to have bed and breakfast or half board (2 meals/day), then choose our host family option – most families are within walking distance of the school, or within an easy bike ride or on a major bus route. For complete independence, private bathroom and kitchen, stay in a studio apartment.
Our school’s cultural activities program, which takes place in the afternoons and evenings, includes cycling tours, film evenings, guided tours of the city and a farewell dinner. At weekends, you can join one of our school’s optional excursions to locations such as Cologne and Hamburg.
