Students choose to learn Italian in Milan for a wide range of reasons. This city of over 2 million inhabitants is the commercial and financial capital of Italy. Milan is also arguably the fashion capital of the world. This is therefore a fascinating location in which to learn Italian, whatever your interests. There are fashion shows in February and September, trade fairs throughout the year, regular concerts and cultural events. Milan has posh shopping streets with designer boutiques, historic monuments such as the Duomo and world-famous ‘La Scala’ opera house, plus hidden treasures such as the very Bohemian artists’ area of ‘Brera’, just waiting to be discovered. Students who choose to study Italian in Milan soon get caught up in the alluring café lifestyle and join with locals in the Milanese ‘aperitivo’- when friends meet after work or study to talk and unwind over a drink and delicious buffet meal in any of Milan’s many bars and cafes.

Our Italian language school is located on a pedestrianised square, in the historic centre of Milan, just 5 minutes' walk from the 'Piazza del Duomo' and the famous 'Galleria', with its chic boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The 'Scala' opera house and Sforza Castle are just 10 minutes walk from the school. Our school in Milan is exceptionally well-equipped, with 11 air-conditioned and spacious classrooms, a computer room, Internet café (Free Internet access), library and student common room. The school offers a high standard language learning environment, combined with an exceptionally friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Our school offers a wide range of Italian language courses in Milan:

- Standard Italian Course.
This course consists of 20 Italian lessons/week, mornings only (Monday-Friday), with a maximum of 10 students/class.

- Intensive Italian Course.
This course consists of 28 Italian lessons/week with lessons in the mornings and some afternoons (Monday-Friday).

- Italian Evening Course.
This course takes place twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday evenings, or Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 07.30 pm to 08.30 pm, 4 lessons per week.

- CELI Examination Preparation Course.
This 4-week course of 10 lessons/week runs in the afternoon and prepares students with the Italian that they need to study to pass the CELI examination.

Italian for Fashion & Design course
Italian for Fashion & Design
- Italian for Fashion & Design Course.
This two or four week course includes 20 Italian lessons and 8 fashion/design lessons per week. The fashion/design lessons take place in one of the leading fashion and design schools in Europe, the Istituto Europea di Design. The course also includes fashion related trips such as trips to a fashion school, to fashion shops and fashion houses. This course is perfect for anyone with an interest in fashion who wants to study in Italy's fashion capital, Milan.

- Italian and Work Experience in our school.
Students must first attend a Semi-Intensive or an Intensive Italian course at our school in Milan for a minimum of 4 weeks, before starting a period of work experience in the school of a minimum of 4 weeks. During the period of work experience, students help out in the school’s marketing/student services office in the afternoon and continue to attend the Semi-Intensive course in the morning, at a discounted rate. You should have at least a pre-intermediate level of Italian when you start the course.

Accommodation in Milan

Host families can be married or single people, with or without children. Host family accommodation is by far the best option if you want to be totally immersed in the Italian language and thus learn as much Italian as possible during your time in Milan.

There are guided walks to places of interest in Milan, regular Italian film evening in the school, nights out with tutors, as well as theatre trips and excursions to Verona, Florence and Venice. The cultural program is designed to help you practice the Italian that you learn at our school in Milan as well as ensuring that you enjoy your time in Italy.

How to get to our school in Milan, Italy

You can fly to Milan Linate Airport, Milan Malpensa, or Milan Bergamo. Of these three airports, Linate is the closest to Milan, just 10 kilometers from the city. There is a direct bus from Milan Linate Airport to the centre of Milan (20 minutes), or a direct train from Malpensa and Bergamo Airports (40-50 minutes). Alternatively, our language school in Milan can pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation.

Italian Club 50+ courses in Milan and Lake Como

For those students aged in their late fifties and over who prefer to learn Italian with students of a similar age, our Milan school offers Italian Club 50+ courses in Milan and on Lake Como. These courses combines 20 Italian lessons/week with a full program of visits and activities. You can attend a 1-week Club 50+ course in either Milan or Lake Como, or else visit both locations by enrolling on a 2-week course.

We also offer Club 50 Italian courses in Florence and Elba.
