Learn Italian in Pisa

Pisa is an exceptionally beautiful Italian university town, with a large historic centre, entirely unspoilt by modern development. This is a wonderful location in which to learn Italian. Our Italian language school is located in the historic heart of Pisa. Though Pisa is famous for its leaning tower, the town itself has so much more to offer, and is also located in the heart of Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. Florence, Siena, Lucca and San Gimignano are all close by.

Our school in Pisa

At our Italian school in Pisa there is a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our fully qualified teachers are all native speakers of Italian, and are available after class to assist students with any questions they may have regarding their Italian language course. Our students want to learn Italian and our objective is to help them learn as much Italian as possible in the time available to them. We also want to ensure that students on our Italian language course thoroughly enjoy the experience, as people naturally learn better when they are also having fun!

Cultural Program

Our Italian language school is just a short walk from the leaning tower. On the first day of the course, after a level test, students are taken on a guided tour of Pisa. The Italian language course takes place in the mornings. There are a variety of optional activities and visits in the afternoons/evenings, or at the weekend, organised by our school. These include wine-tasting, ‘pizza evenings’, beach parties and excursions. These activities help students to learn Italian, as well as enjoy themselves and find out more about Italy and the Italian way of life at the same time.

Accommodation in Pisa

Students can choose to stay in carefully selected host families, in self-catering apartments shared with other international students, in private apartments or in hotels. Nearly all accommodation is located within walking distance of our Italian language school in Pisa. It is naturally easier to learn Italian when you are staying with an Italian host family, than if you choose to stay in your own apartment, or in an apartment shared with other international students from our school. However, we understand why some students choose not to stay with an Italian family, as it is also very enjoyable to experience life in Italy, living in an apartment shared with other students.

Whatever your choice of accommodation, we will do our very best to ensure that you learn Italian, make friends and also very much enjoy your time in Italy, on an Italian language course at our school.

Italian Plus Work Placement

For students who are interested in work placement in Italy, we offer a work placement scheme at our school. Students who attend an Italian language course of a minimum of 4 weeks at our school in Pisa are able to choose to stay on in the school, for a period of work placement, after they finish their 4-week Italian course. In this work placement, the student helps in general administrative duties at our Italian language school, working in areas such as enquiries, reservations, taking enrolments, arranging airport transfers, visiting host families, etc. This type of work placement is naturally very useful for anyone who wants to learn Italian, as during the period of work placement the student will often need to speak Italian to do the work involved. During the work placement (which takes place in the afternoons), the student continues to attend the Italian language course at our school in the morning, free-of-charge. If you are interested in taking part in this type of work placement, please let us know before you start your Italian course, as places on the work placement scheme at our school in Pisa are limited.
