The magnificent sandy beach at Playa Del Carmen is fringed by palm trees and lapped by the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Here the locals are friendly, visitors are welcomed, and great care is taken to protect the beaches, reefs and forests from development. All new buildings within sight of the beach are built in the traditional local styles and are sheltered by the palm trees, which line the beach.

This is a paradise for beach lovers, snorkellers, divers and for those who wish to combine a high-quality Spanish course with a beautiful Caribbean location.

Our school in Playa Del Carmen, located just 7 minutes walk from the beach, is a purpose built language centre, with 7 classrooms, a library, cafeteria, air-conditioning, small private pool and on-site 20 room student residence. The thatched roof, stone walls and tiled floors blend in with the local architecture, providing students with a pleasant environment in which to learn Spanish, whilst at the same time offering high-quality accommodation for those who choose to live in the on-site residence. The pool is an added bonus!

Students who choose to study Spanish in Mexico, at our school in Playa Del Carmen have the added advantage of studying Spanish in high-standard air-conditioned facilities, located a short walk from the beach, with a comfortable on-site residence and pool. In the residence, rooms are available with private bathrooms and private balconies. Students studying Spanish at our school in Playa Del Carmen can also stay in private studio apartments, or in carefully selected nearby Mexican host families.

Learning Spanish in a country in which it is spoken is of course a much more effective method than studying it in your own country, because studying Spanish in Mexico you also have the opportunity to practise out-of-class, the Spanish language that you learn on your Spanish course. It is not enough to simply study Spanish in Mexico, you need to go outside the school, explore the surrounding area and come into contact with the locals.

For this reason, for students who wish to learn Spanish in Mexico, our school in Playa Del Carmen not only offers high-quality Spanish language courses, but also provides an optional cultural programme, consisting of full-day excursions to nearby towns such as Merida, as well as to nearby historic locations, including impressive Maya sites, both on the coast and inland. Other activities on offer include sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, Mexican cookery lessons, Salsa and Merengue dance classes, visits to ecological parks and yoga classes. Or see some of Mexico’s spectacular wildlife! Swim with dolphins, take a turtle-watching trip, go horse riding or play with manatees and sea lions.
