Our Portuguese language school in Porto, Portugal

Our school in Porto is ideally located, just minutes away from both the city’s historic centre, and the shimmering waters of the Douro. The fifth floor of a modern, commercial building is home to the school, treating you to marvellous views of the city. The five large, comfortable classrooms have audio and visual learning facilities, and are all lit naturally. There is also a lounge, multimedia library and a computer room. Students have use of free wireless Internet access, a coffee machine and microwaves.

Making friends on the course

No matter which course you choose, you will be taught by native Portuguese-speaking teachers, with many years of experience in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. You can take our school’s courses at any level, from beginner to advanced.

On our school’s Intensive or Semi-intensive course, you can mix with other international students who have a similar level of Portuguese as yourself. With no more than six students per class, the group lessons give you lots of individual attention from our school’s teachers. For even more customised and personal language tuition, we offer Private Lessons as well.

• Intensive Portuguese Course
  20 Portuguese lessons each week, all in the morning, leaving you free to explore Porto in the afternoons!
• Super-intensive Portuguese Course
  30 Portuguese lessons per week, split between the mornings and the afternoons.
• Intensive Private Portuguese Lessons
  Learn Portuguese in Porto with 20 one-on-one classes each week.
• Super-intensive Private Portuguese Lessons
  On this course, your week will consist of 50 Private Lessons, in various locations, as well as lunches with your teacher.
• Executive Private Lessons
  Our Executive Portuguese course focuses on expanding your business vocabulary, and also gives you the opportunity to enjoy lunch with your teacher.
• Combined Portuguese Course
  A mixture of 20 group lessons and five Private Lessons each week. Benefit from conversing with fellow students in group classes and then having private sessions specifically adapted to your needs.
• Intensive Combined Portuguese Course
  Consisting of 10 Private Lessons in addition to 20 group lessons per week, this course affords you more personal attention from your tutor.
• Super-intensive Combined Portuguese Course
  With 15 one-to-one lessons, this option gives you plenty of individual time with teachers, as well as 20 group lessons a week.

Accommodation in Porto

Students on an excursion

For a taste of Portuguese culture and to practice your Portuguese with the locals, live with a host family, carefully selected by our school. Eat breakfast and dinner, or just breakfast if you prefer, with your host family. Our school can also organise accommodation for you in an apartment, hotel room or a pousada, which is an inexpensive hotel.

Cultural Program

There are organised trips to the medieval Ribeira district, the stunning Stock Exchange Palace and various museums.
