If you would like to learn German in a smaller, typically German location, then Radolfzell is perfect for you! It is a beautiful and charming little town on the western shore of Lake Constance, on the border with Switzerland! The locals are well known for their friendliness and this is most evident during the towns many festivals and carnivals! Full of small, intimate cafes and restaurants, and historic buildings, you will soon feel at home in fantastic Radolfzell!

The building which houses our German language school in Radolfzell was built in 1903, and looks out onto the town’s historic district. The school, like the town, is small and personal, and offers excellent facilities for students, including 8 classrooms, a small cafeteria, a computer room with free Internet access, a media resource centre and a basement party room.

Our German language courses in Radolfzell

German language courses offered by our school in Radolfzell include group courses of 24 group lessons, plus 6 supervised self-study sessions per week and private courses. The school also offers combined courses of 24 group lessons plus 5 or 10 private lessons per week.

Accommodation in Radolfzell

You can choose to stay in guest house accommodation on a room only basis, or in host family accommodation. In host family accommodation, you can choose from self-catering, bed and breakfast and half-board options. This is the perfect choice of accommodation if you wish to immerse yourself fully in the German language and culture, as your host family will speak German with you on a daily basis, allowing you the perfect opportunity to practice what you have learnt in class!

Cultural activities

The activities programme at our school in Radolfzell has been designed specifically in order to provide you with an opportunity to discover more of the surrounding area and local culture, as well as practice your German outside of the classroom. Examples of activities offered include a guided tour with Radolfzell, bowling, billiards, darts, night walks sampling traditional food, a trip to the Zeppelin museum, slacklining, wall-climbing, tennis, wakeboarding and days by Lake Constance swimming, playing Frisbee, beach volleyball and football. The school also organises regular excursions to local places of interest including Constance, Reichnau Island, Mainau Island, Europapark theme park and Stuttgart.

Our German summer school in Radolfzell, on the shores of Lake Constance in Germany is really popular with students aged 15-17 years.
