Learn Russian in Russia

Any time of year is a good time to learn Russian in Russia, where each season brings something unforgettable. In winter, you’ll walk along snow-white streets blown straight out of the pages of great Russian literature. In spring, you can join in the celebrations of the thawing of the snow, whilst the long evenings in summer provide Russians with the perfect excuse to stay up all night. There has never been a better time to learn Russian, one of six official languages of the United Nations, and a means of communication across much of Eastern Europe. Learn Russian at one of our schools in St Petersburg or Moscow, and explore this beautiful country of extravagant palaces and fascinating people.

Or, if you are an EU citizen, and do not want to bother with getting a visa for Russia, you can choose to Learn Russian in Latvia, a member state of the European Union, on a Russian course in Riga.

Alternatively, you can Learn Russian in Kiev, an excellent alternative to Moscow or St Petersburg, particularly if you are a student from the United States, Canada, European Union, Japan, South Korea or Switzerland, as you do not require a visa for visits of up to 90 days.

Our Russian language schools in Russia

As a student at one of our Russian language schools in Russia, you’ll benefit from first-rate facilities, including free Internet access and wireless zones. Our school in St Petersburg (Historic Centre) is located in a beautiful 19th century building, just a short walk from Nevsky Prospect, St Petersburg’s elegant main boulevard. Our recently refurbished school in Moscow is also ideally located, in the centre of the city.

All students on Russian courses at our schools in Russia are given a free guided tour of the city. What’s more, our schools run comprehensive activities programs, with optional excursions including walking tours, boat cruises, vodka tasting and even a Russian steam bath!

You can choose from a range of Russian courses in Russia, all taught by fully-qualified and experienced native Russian teachers. Our most popular Russian course, the Standard Course, is available for any duration between 2 weeks and an academic year. If you would like to learn more about the culture whilst you study Russian in Russia, our Intensive Course includes 5 cultural lessons/week. You can also divide your time between our St Petersburg (Historic Centre) and our school in Moscow on a Multi-stay Course.

Accommodation in Russia

If you really want to immerse yourself in the Russian language and way of life, then stay in one of our carefully selected host families. Family life is at the centre of Russian culture, and whilst you may find the accommodation lacking in sophistication, Russians cannot be faulted for the welcome they give to foreigners.

Most of our students prefer to stay with a host family during their Russian course in Russia, as this is the best way to immerse yourself in the language and culture of the country. You’ll quickly learn the ‘dos’ and ‘dont’s’ of Russian life, such as always removing your shoes when entering a house.

Our schools also offer hotel, shared student apartments and private accommodation options.

Academic Year Course

If you like, you can learn Russian in Russia for a whole academic year. You can choose from the Standard Course or the Intensive Course. If you want to learn Russian, there is no better place to do so than in one of the great cities of Russia. How to get there

Fly to St Petersburg Airport or Moscow Airport. When you book a course and accommodation at our St Petersburg (Historic Centre) and Moscow schools, a one-way airport transfer is included. We can also arrange a transfer for you if you choose to organise your accommodation independently.

Useful Local Information

All visitors to Russia require a visa prior to travelling to the country. From most Western countries, it is quite simple to obtain a visa to enter Russia.
