Did you know that Granada is just 30 minutes from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and Europe’s most southerly ski resorts? Skiing in the Sierra Nevada is a truly unique experience - take a ski lift to the peaks on a clear day, and you’ll see the Atlas Mountains of Morocco across the Mediterranean! At weekends, you can ski at night on the fully lit slopes of El Rio. In March or April you can ski in the morning, and 40 minutes later be sunbathing on a hot mediterranean beach! There’s also lots to do in the Sierra Nevada if you’re a non-skier, as the cafes and bars of the resorts really are the place to be seen!
