Originally a small fishing town and once the home of Malta’s aristocracy, Sliema is now one of the country’s main coastal resorts and is a wonderful location in which to study English! Whilst you are learning English in Sliema, why not take a wander around the quiet streets with their elegant villas and townhouses, before heading to some of the finest shops on the island where you can buy some of Malta’s famous lacework, silverware or pottery. Be sure to stop at The Strand to take in the stunning views across the bay to Valletta! In the evening, visit one of the town’s excellent restaurants to sample some of Malta’s delicious cuisine, followed by a glass of wine in one of the relaxed and cosmopolitan bars. If you want to discover some of Malta’s fascinating history, the medieval city of Valletta and the world-famous Hypogeum, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are very easy to reach from Sliema!

Our English language school in Sliema

Located in the centre of Sliema, our English language school is very close to many shops and cafes. The facilities at the school are excellent and include wireless Internet throughout, 16 air-conditioned classrooms, a self-study centre, an audio-visual room, a language lab, an Internet lounge and an Internet café. The school also has its own terrace, roof garden and café, which are all the perfect places to relax in between classes, or to practice your English with the other international students!

Our English language courses in Sliema

Group courses (with a maximum of 12 students per class) or mini-group courses (with a maximum of 5 students per class) of 20 or 30 English language lessons per week are perfect if you wish to improve your overall level of English. If you would like to study in a group but would also like to focus on certain aspects of the language, you may like to consider one of our combined courses of group and one-to-one tuition. Our school also offers Business English courses and IELTS exam preparation courses. As well as all this, our school in Sliema also offers students the opportunity to take diving or sailing lessons alongside their English language course!

Accommodation in Sliema

Our English language school in Sliema offers self-catered shared apartment or host family accommodation on a bed and breakfast or half board basis. As your English-speaking host family will encourage you to practice what you have learnt at the school with them, we would always recommend this accommodation option.

Cultural activities

In order to give you further opportunity to experience the Maltese culture and to practice your English outside of the classroom, our school regularly arranges cultural activities. Examples of activities arranged include an orientation walk and welcome evening, English film screenings, visits to the Botanical Gardens, school parties and trips to the beach and the Maltese countryside.
