Both the town centre and Biarritz’s wonderful beaches are within easy reach of our language school. When your morning French lessons have finished, you have time to enjoy all that Biarritz offers! Visit Biarritz’s impressive aquarium at “the Museum of the Sea”, or tour “the Museum of Chocolate”!

Classrooms at the school are large and comfortable, and the majority of them have audio-visual facilities. The school also has free Internet access, so you can easily stay in touch with friends and family.

The course

Choose from 15, 16 or 20 French lessons every week, Monday to Friday. The maximum class size is 15, which allows you to have individual time with your teachers. Our school’s teachers are all native French speakers, who have considerable experience in teaching French as a foreign language. French will be the only language spoken in lessons, so your command of the language will quickly improve!

Accommodation

a) Host families:
Living with a local host family will also help you to develop your French language skills. Your family will only speak to you in French and, whenever possible, our school will place you in a home with a student who speaks a different native language to your own. This way, you’ll be totally immersed in the French language. Your host family will give you an insight into French life and your roommate can tell you all about where they’re from. Families, carefully selected by our school, provide breakfast and dinner, with packed lunches as an added extra.

b) Residence:
Half-board of full-board accommodation is also available if you stay at our student residence, with lunch being served at a local restaurant. For every meal, you can choose from a variety of options, including vegetarian alternatives. En-suite rooms at the residence are shared between four and five students, of the same gender and approximately the same age. The residence, set amidst pleasant greenery, is a 20-minute walk from the school and you can walk to the beach or the town centre in just over 30 minutes.

Activities

This summer French course for Young Students in Biarritz offers you a wide selection of cultural and sporting activities. The program gives you the chance to get to know other students on the course as you discover Biarritz and the surrounding area. Go on guided tours of Biarritz, the nearby picturesque fishing village of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and even the beautiful Spanish city of San Sebastián, with its spectacular beaches and great shopping.

In the afternoons, our school organizes activities like theatre workshops, regional cooking lessons, beach volleyball matches, rafting, games of basketball, dance workshops and table-tennis games, to name but a few! If you choose to take surfing or body-boarding lessons to complement your French studies, your afternoons will be spent riding the waves! Evening activities could include parties, quiz nights, theme nights and talent shows.

Transfers

Your host family or our school’s ‘meet and great’ representatives will pick you up from the airport or train station, for an extra fee.
