In the scenic south west of France, Biarritz has beautiful National Parks to the north and east, and the magnificent Pyrenees to the south. Beyond the Pyrenees lies Spain, where a whole different culture awaits! Closer to Biarritz, Bayonne is a charming, historic city, filled with shops and cafés.

A pleasant residential area is home to our school and its verdant grounds, within easy reach of excellent beaches. The school building is modern and finished to a high standard, with large, bright classrooms and a café.

The course

Our Biarritz language school gives you the choice of either 15 or 20 French lessons per week. Experienced, native French teachers will guide you through the lessons. The teachers are patient, friendly and know how to make learning enjoyable! You’ll need at least an elementary level of French to enrol on this French summer course for Young Students in Biarritz.

Accommodation

Whilst you learn French in Biarritz, you can either live with your fellow students, in the attractive school residence, or experience the French way of life by staying with a host family. Our school has a high quality student residence, standing in its own gardens, with a self-service cafeteria and en-suite facilities in all rooms. The cafeteria will provide you with two or three meals each day, depending upon your preference. You’ll share your room at the residence (complete with en-suite bathroom) with a maximum of three other students, giving you the chance to socialize with your classmates more! To get you to the school building in Biarritz, our school runs a free mini-bus service.

If you’d rather see French culture and traditions up close, choose host family accommodation, either on a half board (two meals/day) or full board (three meals/day) basis. Our school only uses very welcoming families, who will instantly make you feel at home. Best of all, they will only speak to you in French, helping you to improve your French language skills through practice!

Activities

Biarritz is renowned for its excellent surfing conditions, so where better to pick up a surfboard and give it a go? Our school runs an optional program of professional surf lessons, at an extra cost, with all necessary equipment supplied. Each afternoon, you’ll spend an hour and a half enjoying the surf!

Alternatively, join in with the activities on our school’s leisure program, most of which are free. You could go on a tour of Biarritz, play sports like beach volleyball and basketball, take part in dancing, theatre and other workshops, and enjoy school parties. Of course, students on the surf program can also participate in any activities that aren’t happening at the same time as their surf lessons.

Our school also organises half-day and full-day excursions, with possible destinations including Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Pau and the beautiful bay of Arcachon. You might also be lucky enough to experience the majestic Pyrenees or the Spanish city of San Sebastián.

Transfers

Fly to Biarritz, Pau, Bordeaux or San Sebastián airports, or arrive at Biarritz train station, and our school will gladly arrange a two-way transfer service for you. This is not included in the price of the course, however.
