Known for the last 800 years as one of the world’s greatest university cities, Cambridge is internationally renowned for its historic colleges, wonderful architecture, green parks and gardens and for the pretty and peaceful River Cam. The city is a very popular place with our Young Students, as it is small enough to explore on foot or by bicycle and at the same time big enough to offer everything that a modern city needs. There are cinemas, theatres, cafes, sports facilities, restaurants, nightclubs and plenty of shops.
There are 2 buildings belonging to this particular programme, offering students a relaxed and peaceful place in which to live and study, with a traditional student atmosphere. Both are housed in lovely Cambridge colleges, which our school takes over during the summer months. One is affiliated with the University of Cambridge and the other is a private college. Both are located just a few minutes’ walk from Cambridge city centre and have private grounds and picturesque gardens, as well as modern student facilities.
The summer course for Young Students offers a programme of either 20 or 28 general English lessons each week, in groups of 16 students, with two teachers for each group. The teaching methods are carefully considered to ensure that your lessons are interactive, interesting, fun and dynamic and especially geared towards Young Students. You will build on your language skills, with a goal to developing your communication skills and your confidence in order to be able to express yourself in all kinds of everyday situations!
