This Spanish course for 14-17 year-olds gives students an insight into to the fascinating past of Córdoba, once the heart of Moorish Spain! Amongst the places of interest to discover are the elaborate Mezquita (Moorish castle), the ancient ruined city of Medina Azahara and the impressive Alcazar, where some of Spain’s most powerful monarchs lived. After sightseeing, sample some the local tapas cuisine in one of Córdoba’s many sunny, picturesque squares, or pick out a present for your family from the local shops.

Spanish lesson at the school

Our Spanish language school in Córdoba is located between the stunning old town and the newer part of Córdoba, perfect for exploring both parts of the city! The school is a bright, two-storey building, typically Andalusian in style, with a courtyard adorned with flowers. There are 18 air-conditioned classrooms, a computer room (with free Internet access), library, multi-media room and video room.

Cultural program

Our school’s program of evening activities lets you socialize with other students on the course, and introduces you to Córdoba at the same time! Cool off with a trip to the local open-air swimming pool, take part in competitions and handicrafts sessions, or enjoy fiestas on balmy summer evenings!

Your Saturdays will be spent exploring other parts of Andalusia. Trips to the amusement park in Seville, the Aquapark in Villafranca and Malaga’s golden beaches are all on the agenda!

The course

Our Spanish course for 14-17 year-olds has a maximum class size of only 12 students. So with lots of personal attention from our native, experienced teachers, you’ll soon learn the language! Choose to study for two, three or four weeks, with 20 Spanish lessons of 55 minutes each week. Innovative teaching techniques include taking you out of the classroom to ask locals about Córdoba, giving you valuable Spanish practice!

Accommodation

You will also get the chance to practice your language skills with your very own Spanish family! Our school arranges for you to stay with a host family, who will provide you with a double room and three meals a day. Only the friendliest families, with a good standard of accommodation, are selected to house our students. The school also carries out regular checks on families, to ensure that you have a great stay in Córdoba!

How to get to Córdoba, Spain

You can meet your fellow students and school representatives at Córdoba train station, from where you will be taken to your host family. Or, for an extra charge, you can be picked up from Madrid, Seville or Malaga airports.
