The summer school takes place in a number of different modern, self-contained sites, all located in their own grounds with fantastic facilities and within easy reach of the city centre by tram and by bus.
Our young students receive 15 general English lessons each week in an international environment. The teaching method is adapted to the sophisticated needs of young people today, ensuring that the language classes are combined with a variety of interesting cultural activities and experiences of a new country. Students will have the chance to develop their understanding and skills for further studies in the multi-lingual and multicultural world that we live in.
Our school in Dublin also collaborates with a number of internationally renowned sports centres, to provide additional programmes, such as language classes with Tennis, in the prestigious David Lloyd Centre, or language classes with Football, where the students are trained by professional coaches from the famous Italian A.C. Milan football club! These special sports sessions are available in July each year and will replace the standard cultural and activities programme of our summer school timetable.
Our Young Students have the option to stay with a host family in Dublin, or in the on-site residence, with three meals each day included in the price of both of these options.
Host family accommodation is an extremely popular option with our students who want to immerse themselves in the life and culture of Dublin, to meet the natives and for the chance to build life-long friendships. With this type of accommodation you really have the chance to practise your English on a daily basis outside of the classroom. Your host family will be happy to take you to school on the first day of the course.
The residence buildings are all located on-site and can vary, from apartments with single or shared bedrooms, with private or shared bathroom facilities, to dormitory-style rooms with shared facilities. There is 24-hour supervision by the residence staff in all of the residence buildings, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Many of the campuses have excellent private sports facilities for students to use.
The school organises a packed, fun-filled and varied activities and sports programme for all students on every afternoon in the week, as part of the course. There is often a choice of activities in drama, arts and crafts, music or dance, as well as tours of the city and visits to famous sights and attractions in and around Dublin. There is also a wide range of sports activities and sports tournaments and full use of the campus on-site facilities.
Students who wish to take the language course with football training in Dublin will receive 10 hours per week of afternoon football sessions, led by professional football coaches from the AC Milan Club. The AC Milan training kit and a certificate are included, in addition to the private daily transportation to the training ground from the school.
